Well folks, we tried our best to make it work, but effective immediately we’re discontinuing all shipments to Canada. We will honor existing reservations, but won’t be accepting new shipments to Canada after today.
Skyrocketing shipping costs along with more shipments being late (and few people being able to understand that we really have no influence over Canadian customs when they hold a package) have just made it impossible to continue. When we can’t do something efficiently and keep all of our customers happy, we just can’t do it. Shipping across borders is a difficult thing that causes a lot of issues.
Again, if you already have a reservation for a shipment to Canada already in our system we will honor it. We recommend Lensrentalscanada.com or Lenslenders.ca for our Canadian customers.
That’s a shame, but it makes sense.
Is this going to include sales of used equipment to Canada? That would be very disappointing…
We can still sell to Canada, delivery just is too unpredictable to rent and get it there on time.
I respect your decision, Roger. And I’m impressed that you respect your customers and your business so much that you choose quality over quantity. I know it was a hard decision to make, but it’ll all come around for the better. Now, if there’s any market for being a lens smuggler, just let me know. I’ve always wanted to go to Canada.

Sorry to hear it, but understand the business decision. As a Canadian, I was very happy with my rental experience here, and will be on the lookout for our local alternatives, but I’ll still be recommending lensrentals.com to my American friends.
