I would love to see more on the weather sealing, from what I see there doesn't appear to be much.

How would you compare the insides of the 5D2 to other canon cameras? Which part inside is most frequently has problems?

Nice work on the pics and write up guys! I was wondering if the rubber grips have to be removed to remove the upper housing where the light leak concern is? I assume they're adhesive backed and would usually have to be replaced after peeling them off?

We tear those down all the time, but didn't think many people would be interested in the insides so we never take pictures. You can't get manuals, though. They're closely guarded corporate nondisclosure items that start surfacing on the black market several years after the camera has been released. You can get Canon parts easily, though, just call or email Canon.

Bluto,

About 20% of our equipment will require repair during it's lifespan with us (2 years). It varies a bit depending on what it is: cameras a bit more frequently, lenses less, lighting perhaps the most (although that is probably because lighting isn't really happy being shipped around in FedEx cases.

I've noticed in the last few colums, you all seem to do quite a bit of repair work. On a given body or lens, how frequently does something require minor repair?
