What, there's no entries for Pentax?

Oh. Right. You need to have *some* marketing before you can get entered into a Bad Marketing Awards.

And I nearly sprayed my coffee over my laptop seeing that Canon's figured out how to measure creativity.

We don't buy micro 4/3 cameras to emulate the looks of medium format, that's what iPhones are for.

The D800 claiming 36MP = Full HD video feels kind of like the reverse of a marketing scam from a few years ago where Sony (in particular, other too though) were going around slapping Full HD stickers on everything, including cameras, because they could take 'Full HD Stills'... Yeah because that is hard!

I also have to say that 'Smooth (professional/attractive/creative etc) out of focus backgrounds' on baby point and shoots (and just about everything else) is the big buzz word for 2011/2012, supplanting Full HD as their biggest con job, surprised none of those made it in anywhere.

Tony, I just had to add in, it is not BS. The Image sensor in the OM-D E-M5 is suspended magnetically and it DOES compensate in 5 axis. So yes, if you roll the camera, pitch it or yaw it, it will compensate (within its range of sensor motion) for those. Its fun to half hold the shutter and watch how steady things become in all axis (that I know of).

Wow - Just reading the comments -a humor piece has unleashed a lot of pent-up aggression and anger. Not referring to any single commenter but the author of a particularly long one may need to be exposed to a few hours out of doors? Just sayin'

I was wondering what you were talking about the Nikon site, because I never saw the ads or the "improve" lens list. Then I figured it out. I never used the www.nikonusa.com site but the www.nikon.com site. By the way, I live in the US.

Charles, I'd forgotten that one so I went and dug it up from the archives. Here's the for-sale blurb:

As you might have gathered from the specs, it's a Lensbaby, and it works (if you call it that) like a Lensbaby is supposed to. I don't get the whole Lensbaby thing, but some people love them. But then again, some people love Brussels Sprouts. I don't get that either. Oh, yeah, I forgot. It's in Nikon mount. So if you love Nikon and Brussels Sprouts, you'll probably want this.

(Image of Brussels Sprouts above for informational purposes only. Not included with purchase. They kind of look like little Alien larvae, don't they? Can't you picture them growing along the inside of a derelict spacecraft? Anyway, I'm not eating any of that.)

And I know what you're thinking: yes, one of the Lensrentals professional staff will come through and change all this text in a day or so when they notice it. But it's Saturday, I'm bored, and if they make me take call on Saturday, well this is what they're going to get.

I am sad that the lensrentals.com copy on a for-sale Lensbaby didn't make this list. I don't remember all of it from this past Feb, but I kept this quote:
