Wimberley Type II
While we’ve been fairly happy with our economic, generic gimbal heads, the Wimberley Type II offers several advantages. First its quite a bit lighter. Second the new knobs and knob placements are clearly sturdier and much easier to adjust (both can be adjusted with the same hand now) with the lens in place. The knurled knobs are far, far easier to work with in cold weather with gloves on.
You know us: we love a bargain, but sometimes you pay the price because its worth it. The Wimberley II is one of those times in our opinion.
