The BG-E7 holds two LP-E6 batteries, extending the battery life of the camera significantly. It also provides a second shutter button when the camera is used in portrait mode. It can hold six AA batteries for use as emergency power with a different tray. We do not ship the AA battery tray with our grips by default. If you want the AA tray, leave a note on your order and we will include it.
