Canon’s longest focal length macro lens. The longer focal length allows a longer working distance to the subject than do the smaller macro lenses. The lens is exceptionally sharp and can double as a short telephoto lens, however being a macro lens, autofocus speed is a bit slower than most lenses.
We recommend using a tripod unless the lighting is excellent.
For Sale: We have one copy of 180mm “L” Macro for sale. The glass, mechanicals and focus are all flawless. There are some scratches on the tripod mounting foot and some minor scuffs on the plastic lens hood and caps. It comes in the original Canon zipper case with hood, tripod ring and caps. There is a 3 day inspection period with the lens: you can return it for a full refund of the purchase price during that time. We warranty this lens against failure during normal use for 90 days after purchase. $1099 Didn’t sell in two weeks, so the price has dropped to $999, then its going to the wholesaler.
