Arguably THE sharpest telephoto Canon makes. Its reasonable weight and fast aperture makes it a favorite of sport shooters. The reasonable size and excellent image stabilization allow it to be handheld (for a while) but is most often shot with a monopod or tripod. Remains quite sharp with 1.4x and even 2x teleconverters.
