Canon EOS 5D

A 12 megapixel, full-frame DSLR. The 5D is physically not much larger than the 20/30D cameras and with very similar controls. It provides even smoother, lower-noise images than the 20/30D with 50% more pixels. Several reviewers claim the 5D has a 1.5 stop increase in dynamic range also.

For Sale: We closing out our 5D cameras and have two more rotating out of stock. Both copies have some minor, light scratches on the LCDs that don’t interfere with visualizing them even in bright sunlight, and some minor dust in the viewfinder (this doesn’t affect images since the viewfinder is not in line with the sensor, but you can see it when you’re shooting in bright sunlight). They come with all the original accessories and software, but not in the original box, with a 3 day inspection period during which you can return it for refund if you aren’t completely satisfied, and a 90 day warranty against failure during normal use.

All of our cameras ship with one fully charged battery, the battery charger and a bag. A lens does NOT come with the camera.

Roger’s take: The 5D has consistently been our most popular camera. Personally, I prefer it to even the 1DsII for portrait work. The 5D images are smoother with lower noise. You need good glass to really appreciate it though, as the 5D exposes corner and side weakness that would not be apparent on a crop camera.
