This is Canon’s mid range tilt-shift lens and considered the sharpest of the three TS-E lenses. The tilt-shift allows correction of distortion for architectural work and product shots, modifications to depth of field (in focus from near field to infinity, or artistic blurring), and a very accurate way to shoot multiple shots for a panorama. The 45 TS-E is considered probably the sharpest of the original (Mk I) TW-E lenses.

If you haven’t used one before, please note this lens has a learning curve, is manually focused, and takes practice to use effectively. I can’t tell you exactly how much practice, just that its more practice than I’ve had.
