The CP-E4 is an external battery pack for Canon flashes including the 580 EX, MR-14EX, and MT-24EX (it Does Not work with the 430 EX). The pack takes 8 AA-size batteries (not included), at least doubling the number of shots between battery changes. It also reduces the recycle times between shots.
