An extremely sharp telephoto-macro lens with true 1:1 magnification for Macro shots, it also is an excellent mid-range telephoto lens. The 150mm range allows more working distance when shooting Macro than the 105mm Sigma Micro lens. Although the lens is light enough to handhold, a tripod is recommended for close macro work.
