Fluid Head - Manfrotto 701HDV
The 701 is a fluid video head capable of supporting 9.5 pounds while itself weighing less than 2 pounds. It has a -60 to +90 degree tilt range and full 360 degree pan. Complete with center sliding quick release plate and counterbalance system.
The 701 mounts to 3/8 tripod screws. This item DOES NOT come with a tripod, if you need a tripod please see our Lightweight Fluid Head with Tripod
Mike’s Take: This is a lightweight fluid head, good for use with a dSLR or small video camera like the Canon HV40. I wouldn’t use a full video camera like the EX1 or Z7U with this fluid head for weight concerns. Especially not if you had other attachments like a larger shotgun mic, Letus adapter, matte box, etc…
Actually, I would only use the 701HDV with a dSLR and a lens lighter then a 70-200 2.8 IS.
