The 50mm f/2 provides you with a superb close-up lens capable of focusing within 9 inches of the front objective. It also makes an excellent low light portrait lens.

Tim’s Take:
This is one of our most popular lenses for Four Thirds mount. And that is for good reason—it’s beautiful. The lens has wonderful contrast and focuses faster than the Olympus 35mm f/3.5 Macro. While it is not a true 1:1 macro, you still get stellar results from it, taking into account its very small size. Oh yea, by the way, it’s an f/2!
