The SWD (Supersonic Wave Drive) version of this telephoto zoom from Olympus achieves focusing speeds 2 to 3 times faster than the older version of the lens. ED lens elements prevent chromatic aberration and the lens provides sharp images throughout its zoom range. The close focusing distance of 1.2 meters allows pseudo-macro shooting at the long end.
