You’ll receive one pan bar with the rental of this tripod. If you need a second pan bar for a studio setup, we also rent spare Manfrotto 509HVL Pan Bars.
Due to the size/weight of the 509 head (approximately 8.5 lbs.), we do not recommend it for use with most of our sliders. For slider use we recommend the 502 Head and 475B Tripod Kit.
Yes! While the mid-level spreader is recommended for extra stability, it can be removed if necessary to accomplish a shot.
Yes, within reason. If you wish to use the 509 or other heavy head with a fixed half ball, you will need a heavy duty slider like the Kessler CineSlider and the Kessler High Hat Kit. If none of that makes any sense to you, please call or email for more information!
