![]() The 28 f/2 Summicron provides an extremely wide aperture in a moderately wide angle lens, a difficult thing to do. The lens is ‘6-bit’ encoded so the camera can automatically adjust edge correction for vignetting, unless you’d rather disable that feature. Steve’s Take: The Leica 28 Summicron is legendary and known as one of Leicas best lenses. On an M8.2 it will behave like a 35mm f/2 lens and on the full frame M9 you get all of the magic the lens can put out. This lens has a smooth character with amazing detail and color. No faults. The 28mm Summicron is recommended for those who want a perfect 28mm lens with no compromises.
