Voigtlander 50mm f/1.1 Nokton for Leica

The Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.1 Lens is a high speed aspherical lens for M mount cameras. The lens is constructed with 7 elements in 6 groups, and has as a minimum focusing distance of 3.28’ (1m). It features an all-metal lens barrel construction, and a 10 bladed aperture diaphragm which creates pleasing out-of-focus highlights. Click stop aperture movements at half-stop intervals makes subtle adjustments in exposure or depth-of-field easy.
The lens is constructed with two aspherical surfaces and one SD (super-low dispersion) glass element.

The Voigtlander 50 Nokton f/1.1 is a terrific lens. It is an “artistic” lens that can give you some very creative looking images. It does have some f/1.1 magic and is well worth the cost. It is built well, focuses smooth and easy, and balances well on any Leica M camera. If you crave an super fast lens, this is as close as you can get to the classic Leica Noctilux. Try it, I think you will like it!(Because Roger has limited rangefinder capabilities, we’ve asked Steve Huff, who provides excellent reviews at SteveHuffPhoto to pinch hit.)
