The Zeiss 25mm f/2.8 Biogon T* ZM offers a wide-angle view with a minimum focusing distance of 1.8 feet (0.5 m), perfect for landscapes, cityscapes, and photography in close quarters. It has a 10 bladed aperture ring to assure smooth out-of-focus highlights and virtually no geometric distortion, making it great for architectural work.

Steve’s Take: On a Leica M8.2 this lens will be the equivalent of a 33mm lens and I have to say it is GLORIOUS! Amazing sharpness, clarity, and 3 dimensional qualities. On the M9 you get the full benefits of the 25mm wide angle and it is about as sharp as a lens can get. If you like warm colors, a 3D look and beautiful file quality then the Zeiss 25 Biogon is a great lens. TIP: If using on an M9 then set the lens menu to a Leica 28 Elmarit ASPH to eliminate vignetting.
