Micro 4/3 - Panasonic 7-14mm f/4
The first “professional grade” lens made specifically for the Micro 4/3 mount, the 7-14 f4 is nice and compact at 2.75 X 3 inches. It contains 16 lens elements in 12 groups, including two aspherical lenses and four ED lenses and has a 7 blade, rounded aperture ring for smooth out-of-focus highlights.

Roger’s take: OK, probably nobody has shot more various lenses on Micro 4/3 cameras than I have. I’ve got 4 different adapaters and have shot everything from the original lenses to Leica to even old PEN lenses. Simple reality is if I had a wide selection of lenses like the 7-14 I wouldn’t bother. Its exceptionally good and the only professional quality ultra-wide for the Micro 4/3 system. Its larger than the kit lenses, but much smaller than a standard 4/3 or other lens on an adapter. Really just perfect. Which I guess is why they seem to never get to the U. S., we’ve had to buy all of ours from resellers in Japan.
