A remarkable telephoto zoom that doesn’t exist in any other format. The 90-250mm gives 4/3 shooters the equivalent of an 180-500mm f/2.8 zoom lens, the sports and wildlife shooter’s dream. It’s sharp throughout its range wide open, and gets a bit sharper stopped down to f/3.5 when that’s an option. A 9-bladed circular aperture diaphragm provides smooth out-of-focus highlights, even when stopped down.

For some reason, 4/3 shooters don’t seem to appreciate this lens. There are shooters of other brands who rent a 4/3 camera and this lens just because of the unbelievably amazing opportunity to shoot with what is basically a 180-500 f/2.8 zoom lens. Or add a 1.4x teleconverter and it’s a 250 – 700 f/4 with image stabilization. Plus, despite being a zoom it’s as sharp as a prime. Truly amazing, especially when you add an image stabilized body.

Yes, it’s big and you’ll want a monopod. You also won’t want to send it back when your rental is over.

AF-100 Users: We do NOT recommend using this lens on the AF100. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. If you rent it for use with an AF100 and it doesn’t work there’s nothing we can do about it and we will not refund your rental.

LensRentals.com ships via the appropriate FedEx service necessary to have your rental arrive on the date selected. Return shipping is included in the shipping price, and we include a prepaid return label with your order - all you need to do is bring it to a FedEx drop-off location when your rental is complete. If you prefer UPS shipping, you can select it during the checkout process for about 10% more.
