And now its been released in Version II !!!! The new model comes with a ‘zoom lock’ button that keeps the lens from extending when you are walking around with it. And two ED elements . . no wait, the old version had those too. But the new one has Super Integrated Coating and SWM motor . . . uh . . just like the old version. Uhm . . . well . . . . I guess that zoom lock switch is about the only difference. Nothing else has changed. No wait, there’s the price! The new one is $100 more expensive.
So I know what you’re thinking: Roger, if its the same lens but $100 more, why did you stock it? Mostly because about 12 people asked when we’d have it in stock because they want to try it out right away. So here it is! Plus the old version’s been discontinued so we’ll have to move over to this lens anyway. And I have to admit, I did want a lock button for the zoom, seriously.
