Nikon’s do-it-all telephoto zoom with excellent 3 stop vibration reduction system. Reasonable size and VR allows it to be handheld with excellent results in decent light. The lens has the reputation of being a bit slow to autofocus compared to AF-S lenses, but otherwise is considered excellent.
D40/60/5000/3000 owners—-you will not be able to autofoucs with this lens. Please consult your owner’s manual for compatibility.
