WARNING: Renting this lens will have expensive consequences, as you will immediately be filled with the urge to run out and buy your own copy! It takes a few minutes to figure it out and get used to its focusing habits, but once you do… all bets are off. This is a seriously nice lens. The VR is the icing on the cake. And it’s incredibly versatile. It’s NOT just a macro lens. It takes really nice portrait shots as well.Our best recommendation—even the most diehard Canon shooter among us sneaks off with this lens and a D300 when he thinks no one will notice.
