![]() The widest of the Voigtlander for Nikon mount lenses, the 20mm Skopar is a manual focus lens but does have electronics to allow the camera to set autoexposure and white balance, and on D300 and above bodies the camera will confirm focus for you. This is an amazingly small but very sharp lens, reasonable competition to the Zeiss 18 and 21mm lenses from a sharpness standpoint, and reasonably priced too. Roger’s take: Another small, reasonably priced Voigtlander prime lens. Unfortunately for this little lens, it sits right in the territory owned by the Zeiss 21mm and Nikon 24 f/1.4 primes, two of the best lenses made. It can’t compete with those on aperture, of course, but it is a tiny little lens which is sometimes very important. It’s got some wide-open distortion and is best shot at f/5.6 or f/8 where it performs very well in the center. You’re never going to get sharp corners and edges, especially on a full-frame camera. The main advantage to this lens is its small size. Specs:
