A rather amazing lens: the equivalent of a 300mm f/2 on a full frame camera, when combined with Olympus in-body image stabilization, its very capable of being shot hand-held with no tripod or monopod. With 11 elements including ED and Super ED glass, its an amazingly sharp telephoto lens, perfectly suited for indoor sports like basketball or hockey.
Tim’s Take:
This might be my favorite 4/3 lens. A 300mm equivalent, this lens gives awesome results. Quick to autofocus and very fast f/2 aperture, you can catch things that just shouldn’t be possible. Also, in camera stabilization works wonderfully with this lens. Any chance I have to shoot with this lens, I take it!
