For crop sensor cameras the Sigma 10mm f2.8 EX DC HSM fisheye provides the classic fisheye look with a 167 degree angle of view with exaggerated perspective and fisheye distortion.
The Sigma can focus as close as 10 inches, providing some interesting close up effects, especially given its huge depth of field. It allows full manual focus, but also autofocuses quickly and accurately.
Only Works With: Crop sensor cameras (A350, A550, etc…)
Roger’s take: This is a diagonal fisheye: it fills the entire rectangular frame of your photograph with a fisheye image that is almost 180 degrees measured corner-to-corner. It’s about the equivalent of a classic 15mm fisheye on a full frame camera. It’s very sharp and has the unusual ability to focus about an inch in front of the glass, meaning you can shoot a fisheye macro basically. I can’t for the life of me figure out why you want to do that, but now you can.
