A popular, reasonably priced, and excellent quality prime lens. The Sigma has a hypersonic drive motor for quick focusing, and is a great indoor or landscape prime lens at a reasonable price.
For use on DX sensors only, not appropriate for a full frame camera.
Roger’s take: For whatever reason this lens seems to work much better in its Nikon version (where most people like it very much) than in the Canon version. A good bargain of a lens for DX cameras – if you just want one wide-aperture lens for those low-light times, this is a great choice: useful focal length, nice and sharp, fits in your pocket.

For Sale: We have one used copy of the 30mm f2.4 Sigma for Nikon lens rotating out of stock. It is in good (8/10) condition (our grading scale is HERE ): perfect mechanicals, electrical system and couple of tiny coating flaws in the front element that do not affect image quality at all. Comes in the nice Sigma zipper soft case. There are a few very minor paint scratches and scuffs on the plastic hood or lens caps. These sell for $299 with a 3 day inspection period during which you can return it for refund if not completely happy.
