A great, reasonably sized all-around telephoto lens. The supersonic wave motor provides rapid and nearly silent focusing. ED glass minimizes chromatic aberration. Internal focusing makes it possible to use circular polarizers accurately and lets the hood provide good shade for the front element at all focal lengths.

Roger’s take: A great travel-oriented telephoto lens, wonderful in good light. Not a great choice for sports photography, though, because the aperture isn’t quite fast enough to ‘freeze action’. Otherwise, I recommend it highly.
