Sony 35mm f/1.8 SAM

This is a low cost wide angle prime lens, perfect for snapshots and portraits under a wide range of shooting conditions. The ultra fast f/1.8 wide-open aperture along with the 7-blade circular diaphragm allows you to work in low light, and, with a minimum focus distance of 9.05 inches (0.23m), the lens allows you to get in close to your subject. The internal Smooth Autofocus Motor (SAM) ensures responsive and fluid autofocus operation, and the focus mode switch allows you to quickly switch between autofocus and manual.
Very nice size lens that can fit in a jacket pocket just in case you need wide aperture.
Only Works With: Sony crop sensor cameras such as the A58, A77, A65.

Honestly, sometimes you get more than you pay for. This really is an excellent little lens. It’s reasonably sharp at f/1.8 and quite sharp at f/2.2. A very useful focal length and aperture to keep in your pocket and pull out when the light is not good or you want that nice wide-aperture bokeh for a portrait. Really, you should probably just buy it, but we certainly don’t mind if you rent it.
