Gigapan Epic Pro

The Epic Pro is Gigapan’s largest, heavy-duty computerized panorama system: Just add your SLR camera and the Gigapain Epic Pro can make incredibly detailed and complex panoramas. To capture incredible gigapixel images simply set the corners of the panorama you want to capture using the LCD interface. The built in software works out how many photos your camera will need to take, hundreds or even thousands. The EPIC Pro begins snapping the photos, automatically organizing them in overlapping rows and columns. You can capture complete 360 degree horizontal panoramas with up to 90 degrees of vertical shift.

To use this you’ll need a Macintosh or Windows computer running recent software with 2 Gb of RAM (you can get by with 1 Gb, but it will be slllloooooowwwwwww). You’ll also have to download the Gigapan Stitch Software Your rental fee includes an access code to one copy of the software which we will provide you with your rental receipt.

Electronic Trigger Cable Seven cables are provided when you rent the EPIC Pro. Please see Compatible Cameras to find out which cable is compatible with your camera. The maximum camera and lens weight supported by this unit is 8 pounds. A list of compatible cameras is HERE but remember: just because your camera is listed doesn’t mean it will work with your camera and a 600mm f4 or 400mm f2.8 lens.
