Cavision Shoulder Mount with Viewfinder

This rig combines the Cavision offset shoulder mount with the Cavision LCD viewfinder. Designed for HDSLR use this shoulder mount sets the camera’s LCD in front of the operator; a more intuitive position for videographers. The viewfinder offers 2x magnification of the camera LCD, as well as a light tight seal for when critical focus must be achieved in bright shooting conditions. Dual handgrips allow firm control and the 15mm rods support-base allows use of a matte box or other accessories ahead of the camera.

Furthermore, the shoulder pad and hand grips can be removed for a tripod/ jib/ dolly-ready rod support system. The camera base plate has mounting threads for 1/4" and 3/8" screws allowing easy attachment of a tripod speed plate. Moreover, the height of the viewfinder affords proper spacing between the rods and a camera lens for the easy integration of a follow focus.

Please Note: The height alignment of the LCD Viewfinder was designed for the Canon 5DmkII and will not align at all with the Canon 1DmkIV, Nikon D3s or any DSLR when paired with a battery grip. For use with the Canon 7D, 60D, Rebel T2i and Nikon D7000 or D90 a spacer plate must be requested in the notes section of your order. If no note is added we will assume you are shooting with a 5DmkII.
