Tripod Head - Markins M10 heavy duty ballhead
A professional ballhead with the highest load-to-weight ratio of any ballhead made, the Markins M10 is very sturdy, extremely smooth and easy to operate even wearing gloves.
It offers a full panning base and friction limiter to prevent “lens flop” with large telephotos.
The M10 is suitable for use with large telephoto lenses (although a Wimberley head is better suited to 600mm or 800mm lenses). It also works extremely well with a Wimberley Sidekick.
Roger’s take I’ve used an M10 as my personal ballhead for the last 5 years, and am still using the same one today I bought originally. This is, in my opinion, the best ballhead on the market: simple to use, exceedingly well made, and smooth as silk to operate.
