Redrock Matte Box Kit

The Redrock cinema grade deluxe mattebox and filter kit — is a complete solution for controlling flare and light for filmakers. The Redrock microMatteBox provides a universal fit for video cameras, video SLRs, and 35mm lenses shot on adapters with video cameras.

The mattebox is an all metal construction, wide-screen format shade complete with swing-away design for access to lenses; two 4 × 5.6″ filter trays (which can also take a 4 × 4″ filter); a top french flag and two fully adjustable side wings. We also include Redrock’s microsupport system that provides a mount for the matte box and a Bogen style quick-release plate to mount the video camera. The matte box can alternatively be mounted directly to 15mm rods.

We also include a set of three 4 X 5.6 inch filters: a 0.6 ND, a 0.6 graduated ND, and a circular polarizer.

The entire system comes in a fitted hard case that holds the mattebox, filters, accesories and mounts.

Please note: For those of you who are not good at keeping track of parts, the knobs, nuts, screws, etc. that come with the Matte Box are very expensive to replace. When you send it back missing them, you will be rather amazed at just how much we charge you to replace them (it will be more than the rental in most cases) . We suggest, instead, that you keep track of them and not ‘mix and match’ them with other equipment.
