The Letus Hawk uses 3 lenses in 2 groups which produces a totally flat image with no warping or sharpness loss on the edges of the image frame with a 2.75x magnification factor. The lenses on the Hawk are adjustable from +1.5 to -2.5 to accommodate near and far sighted users just by turning the eyepiece. The viewfinder shroud is made of carbon fiber, allowing an anti-glare coating to be used on the interior and the lenses all have anti-fog coating.
The plate threads into the tripod mounting hole on the bottom of your camera and is adjustable in X,Y, and Z directions for compatibility with a variety of DSLR Cameras (Canon: 5DMkII, 7D and Rebel T2i — Nikon: D90, D300s. Note, if you do not see your camera or the camera you want to use, call us and we will be happy to figure out wether or not it is adaptable to the Hawk). The plate is also threaded on the bottom so you can attach your existing quick release tripod plates, base plates, etc. The plate can be quickly removed for attaching the viewfinder to a set of Talon rods.
