The 35 mm f/2 is a nice moderately-wide focal length, fast aperture prime lens suitable for portrait, architectural and commercial photography. With 9 elements in 7 groups and new coatings its very sharp with minimal flare and no ghosting.
Roger’s take: Probably my favorite of the ZE midrange lenses, because its just so good. Partly because it has corner to corner sharpness that even the 1DMkIII can’t complain about. And partly because its just sooooo much sharper than anything else available in this focal length. Nothing else (including the Canon 35 L) can touch it.
