A 2 XLR to mini-headphone (3.5mm) adapter that mounts under a camera.
The 5Da does NOT have phantom power through XLR and is designed to be used with our powered microphones such as the Sennheiser or Rode shotgun mics. It will not work with unpowered mics like the Shure lavelier or handheld microphones.
The Beachtek DXA-5D allows two sources to be input, including timecode feeds. 2 XLR sockets are used for input, although it offers an auxiliary mini-headphone input as well. Inputs are switchable between ‘Mic’ and ‘Line’ level input. Output is through a mini-headphone (3.5mm) jack. This adapter is specifically designed for dSLRs such as the Canon 5DMkII and Nikon D300s.
