Are there any travel restrictions on this product that I should be concerned about?

The FAA have changed their guidelines dealing with rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs. If the TSA finds batteries that are not in compliance with their rules when they inspect your baggage, they’ll discard them, and we’ll charge you for the missing equipment. Consider shipping the battery ahead to a FedEx store if you’ll be traveling to your shoot location.

I recorded a high-quality MXF file, but it won't play back in-camera. What's up with that?

Don’t worry—your footage is safe! However the EXTERNA doesn’t support MXF file playback. Once the file is offloaded onto a computer, you can access it through any supported editing software.
While the EXTERNA doesn’t support MXF-file playback, it can play back proxy recordings. If your production requires on-set playback, just enable proxy recording in the camera menu before shooting!
