The Letus Relay replaces the camera’s lens when using a Letus Elite or Ultimate adapter, allowing you to attach the adapter directly to the camera body.

The 1/2" adapter works only with a 1/2" sensor, removable lens camera, such as the Sony EX3.

This increases the amount of light into the camera by at least a full 2 stops (and reduces depth of field as would be expected). Additionally you no longer have to focus both the camera’s lens and the 35mm lens, so the system acts like a single camera.

Note: The Relay does result in a 1.5x crop factor when filming, so focal length will appear 1.5 times longer than the actual focal length of the lens.
