The new flagship of Nikon crop sensor (DX) cameras, until the D300s was released the D300 features 12.3 megapixels with 14 bit RAW output, a 51 point autofocus system with 15 cross-type sensors, up to 8 frames per second continuous shooting, liveview shooting, and the most amazing (920,000 pixel) LCD on any SLR this camera is an improvement on the D200 in almost every area. And that’s saying a lot.
Our Take: Just an excellent all around camera. We think its such an improvement we discontinued the D200 so we could stock more of these. Easy to use, focusing speed is quick and accurate with every Nikon lens, excellent picture detail and high ISO performance. A major step up from the D70/80 series bodies.
