The Canon XA40 is a compact, 4K-capable, prosumer camcorder, the predecessor to the XA50, and an update to the XA30. Key features include:

Yes! If you’re looking for a one-click solution that includes a memory card, microphone, and support, we rent the XA40 with a monopod kit and a tripod kit.

Need SDI output capability?

Then you’ll want the Canon XA45. Don’t worry, it also has a mini HDMI output as well.

Does this rental include A/V cables or remote?

No. Canon does not include A/V cables or a remote control with this camera, so they are not available from us.

Does this camera include a USB cable for transferring footage?

No. We strongly recommend using a dedicated card reader to transfer footage. If you don’t have an SD card reader, a good option would be the Lexar USB 3.0 Dual-Slot Reader.
