It stores recorded videos onto compact flash cards or removable 2.5-inch solid-state hard drives in UDF format, and you can access your recorded videos on both Windows and Mac OS. The PIX 240 is also capable of recording videos in either Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHD, which are ideal for editorial workflows such as video processing and on-the-fly color grading.
Compatible with External Mixers and Recorders. The PIX 240 is compatible with external audio mixers and digital audio recorders, which extends the flexibility of the recorder’s on-board inputs and enhances audio input/output control.
Power Options. This recorder can be powered using an external DC power (10-18 V) or two Sony L-type batteries. When the recorder is plugged into an external power supply and not in use, it’ll charge the currently installed battery.
