The Metabones Sony A-Mount Lens to Sony E Speed Booster allows you to mount Sony A-mount lenses to compatible Sony E-mount cameras and camcorders. Key features include:
Lens Compatibility. The Speed Booster adapter allows you to use nearly any full-frame A-mount lens. Sony DT (crop-sensor) lenses won’t work with this adapter.
Camera Compatibility. This adapter allows you to use Sony A-mount lenses on Sony E-mount cameras. Please note that this adapter doesn’t provide full-frame sensor coverage.
Wider Focal Length and Increased Aperture. By design, the Speed Booster widens the mounted lens’s focal length by 0.71x, which in turn increases the maximum aperture of the lens by one stop.
Aperture Ring. The adapter has its own eight-stop aperture ring for controlling lenses without their own aperture rings. The ring also has half-stop clicks, allowing you to set it to a specific aperture.
Sturdy Design with Built-In Tripod Foot. The aluminum barrel and brass mounts give it a solid feel, with an Arca-Swiss compatible tripod foot that lets you mount the adapter itself directly to a tripod. This ensures the lens’s weight doesn’t put additional stress on the camera’s mount.
What This Adapter Doesn’t Do. This adapter provides no electronic communication with the camera, so you won’t have autofocus, and EXIF data will not be transferred. You can’t set the camera to auto and start shooting; you must make some manual exposure adjustments first.
