Omnidirectional Condenser Capsule. This mic features an omnidirectional polar pickup pattern. Imagine a WNBA regulation-size basketball centered around the microphone. Anything within that basketball will be picked up, anything outside of the basketball will quickly fall off.

App Recommended. While you could technically use your smartphone’s built-in voice recorder, we’d highly recommend a dedicated audio-recording app. For iOS users, we recommend the RODE Rec app. For Android users, we like the Hi-Q MP3 app. These are just a couple of the many options for both systems.
