The ultracompact Blackmagic Design Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 offers updates to the first gen Micro Studio Camera 4K, including 12G-SDI connections. Key features include:

Compact Live Production. Add this Blackmagic Design Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 to your production equipment and experience the world of ultracompact live production! As tiny as it seems, this camera functions as if it’s a full sized studio camera. Boasting a 4K image sensor, a popular MFT mount, and cinema color science, this petite baby gets you the same satisfactory imaging as if you were using something like the Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 4K Pro G2!

4K Capable. The BMD Micro Studio 4K stays ahead of the competition by coupling its compact size with an impressive UHD image sensor. The 12G-SDI output can feed a 10-bit 4:2:2 signal to any 4K-capable recorder. Please note that the camera itself isn’t capable of recording internally at all.

Active MFT Lens Mount. The MFT lens mount on the camera features support for active, electronic lens connections. This makes it compatible with a wide array of MFT glass.

Broadcast Compatibility. The Micro comes equipped with a full-size HDMI output as well as mini-BNC connectors for 12G-SDI output and SDI camera-control input. Connect the program-feed output from the ATEM switcher to the camera’s SDI input and you can remotely control any setting in the camera; set focus, iris, and zoom on supported lenses; and even color correct.

External Power and Additional Connections. Along with a 12V-30V DC power input for AC adapter use, the Micro Studio 4K offers a Canon LP-E6 receptacle slot for incredibly convenient power that doesn’t sacrifice mobility. Please note that this rental does not include power accessories outside of the AC adapter. In addition to a DC power input, you’ll find a USB-C expansion port, the aforementioned SDI and HDMI connections, and a 3.5mm audio input.
