NOTE: We’re just getting you prepared: the 5D has been discontinued a long time. We can’t get any more (except heavily used ones) and the one’s we have are nearing the end of their rental life. We will have to discontinue this camera sometime in November. We’ve also had to raise the price: because of their age all of these cameras are requiring frequent repair. That also means they are failing more frequently in the field. Unless you just totally love the 5D look (and we do too) the 5D II is more reliable.
A 12 megapixel, full-frame DSLR. The 5D is physically not much larger than the 20/30D cameras and with very similar controls. It provides even smoother, lower-noise images than the 20/30D with 50% more pixels. Several reviewers claim the 5D has a 1.5 stop increase in dynamic range also.
All of our cameras ship with one fully charged battery, instruction sheet, the battery charger and a bag. A lens does not come with the camera.
This is a legacy item. We continue to stock it by popular demand, but it’s out of production, and no new copies can be obtained. It is possible that loss or damage could prevent us from filling your reservation, although we will do our best to find you a replacement. Also, please realize, we haven’t been able to refresh our stock for many months. They are all reaching the end of their rental life.

LensRentals.com ships via the appropriate FedEx service necessary to have your rental arrive on the date selected. Return shipping is included in the shipping price, and we include a prepaid return label with your order - all you need to do is bring it to a FedEx drop-off location when your rental is complete. If you prefer UPS shipping, you can select it during the checkout process for about 10% more.
