This is a nice prime lens. It doesn’t have a particularly wide aperture at f2.8 and it’s not very flare resistant, but it’s small and light, quite sharp, and a very good value for the money. It’s as sharp as a much more expensive zoom would be at 24mm, and a lens you can carry around in your pocket. A very good value pick.

I suspect this lens won’t be around much longer. It’s not as good as the 24mm f/2.8 IS lens. It flares a good bit if the sun is anywhere in the field of view. But it’s sharp in the center and a bargain price, which can make it a good choice for someone who doesn’t shoot this focal length very often.
