The Zeiss 18mm f/3.5 for Canon is manually focusing, but cameras will automatically adjust exposure with the lens. The 18mm focal length provides low distortion with that wonderful Zeiss contrast and sharpness.

I have enjoyed this lens a lot. It provides good corner-to-corner resolution and sharpness, and it has that unique Zeiss microcontrast. I find it actually sharper close-up compared to at infinity, which makes it similar to the Zeiss 25mm. The professional reviewers haven’t mentioned that, so I’m in the minority there. It vignettes pretty significantly even at f/5.6, so I’d plan on shooting in raw to remove that in post-processing.
