Canon Speedlite 580EX II

The Canon Speedlite 580EX II is an extremely powerful with a guide number of 190, full tilt and swivel ability, and an autofocus assist beam. It has a shorter recycling time than the 580EX Mark I and makes no audible noise while recharging. It can be controlled via the camera’s menu on most newer Canon bodies and is of sturdier build than the original version.

The 580EX II is Canon’s speedlite workhorse. It’s the go-to flash for Canon wedding and event photographers due to its high output and reliability. The fully articulating head enables flash bouncing in both portrait and landscape orientation, and the built-in commander mode is great for triggering other compatible off-camera Canon speedlites. If you’re shooting a large event or wedding and need an on-camera flash, the 580EX II is the real deal!
