The Wimberley Type II is a gimbal head for use with heavy super telephoto lenses.

Does this rental include an Arca-Swiss type plate?

This rental doesn’t include an Arca-Swiss type plate, which is required to use this tripod head. We rent the plates separately, but the size plate you’ll need will vary depending on what size lens you’re using. We rent four different sizes to give you the most flexibility.
We also have the Kirk SS-1 KES Security Strap that engages quick-release between the gimbal head and camera with a comfortable transportation strap.

Will this mount to a 3/8"-16 compatible tripod?

Yes it will, but you’ll have to remove the 1/4"-20 bushing that we send installed in the 3/8"-16 threaded hole.
