Olympus 75mm f/1.8

Available Today

With a 35mm equivalent focal length of 150mm, the Olympus 75mm f/1.8 perfect for indoor sports or portrait work. The fast f/1.8 aperture allows users to capture images with an extremely shallow depth of field, with the 9-blade aperture providing a silky smooth bokeh. The lens features Olympus’s MSC autofocus system, allowing fast, silent autofocus for both still and video shooting. The metallic manual focus ring provides precision-touch accuracy when manual focus is required.

For optimum image quality, the 75mm f/1.8 utilizes three ED elements up front and two HR elements in the rear of the lens to nearly eliminate aberrations. There’s also Olympus’s ZERO (ZUIKO Extra-low Reflection Optical Coating) that minimizes lens flare, as well as provides a high degree of scratch resistance. All this in a lens that measures a mere 2.7″ × 2.5″ and weighs 0.67lb!

It was only a matter of time before there was a Micro 4/3rds mount lens that just blew everything away. Well, this is that lens. If you have a Micro 4/3rds camera, it’s a must try. If you don’t have a Micro 4/3rds camera, you need to rent one just to try this lens. Awesome image quality with very nice background blur, snappy autofocus, great build quality, it’s got it all. There’s not much you can say about it that isn’t glowing. It took a few years for the system to mature, but it was well worth the wait. Absolute must-have!
